행동하는 [사랑]
(롬 5:8) 그러나But 우리가 아직 죄인들이었을 때에while we were yet sinners 그리스도께서 우리를 위해 죽으심으로in that Christ died for us 하나님God께서 우리를 향한toward us 자신his의 사랑을 드러내셨느니라commend커멘드eth.

(고전 13:1-3)
1. 내가 사람들의 그리고 천사들의 언어들tongues로 말할지라도 사랑charity채러티이 없으면 나는 소리 나는 놋쇠sounding brass나 울리는 심벌즈a tinkling cymbal와 같게 되느니라.
2. 그리고 내게 대언의 은사the gift of prophecy가 있고 모든 미스터리와 모든 지식all mysteries, and all knowledge을 이해할지라도 그리고 내가 산들을 옮길 수 있을정도로so that I could remove mountains 내게 모든 믿음all faith이 있어도 사랑charity채러티이 없으면 나는 아무것도 아니니라I am nothing.
3. 그리고 내가 나의 모든 재산을 바쳐 가난한 자들을 먹일지라도though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor 그리고 내가 내 몸을 불살라지도록 내어줄지라도though I give my body to be burned 사랑charity채러티이 없으면 그것은 내게 아무 유익을 주지 못하느니라it profiteth me nothing.

4. 사랑Charity채러티/ἀγάπη아가페은 오래 참고 친절하느니라suffereth long, and is kind. 사랑charity은 시기하지 아니하느니라envieth not. 사랑charity은 자랑하지 아니하며 우쭐대지 아니하느니라vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.
5. 보기 흉하게 행하지 아니하고 자기 자신의 것을 추구하지 아니하고 쉽게 성내지 아니하며 악을 생각하지 아니하느니라Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
6. 불법을 기뻐하지 아니하고 진리를 기뻐하느니라Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth.
7. 모든 것을 참으며 모든 것을 믿고 모든 것을 바라며 모든 것을 견디느니Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8. 사랑Charity은 결코 없어지지 아니하느니라never faileth. 그러나but 대언들은 있지만 그것들이 없어지리라whether there be prophecies, they shall fail. 타언어들이 있지만 그것들은 그치리라whether there be tongues, they shall cease. 지식이 있지만 그것은 사라지리라whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9. 이는 우리가 부분적으로 알고 있고 우리가 부분적으로 대언하고 있기 때문이For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
(고전 13:10-13)
10. 그러나But 완전한 것이 오면when that which is perfect is come 그때에는 부분적인 것은 없어지리라then that which is in part shall be done away.
11. 내가 아이였을 때에는When I was a child 내가 아이처럼 말했고I spake as a child 내가 아이처럼 이해했으며I understood as a child 내가 아이처럼 생각했노라I thought as a child 하지만but 내가 어른이 되었을 때when I became a man 나는 어린애같은 일들을 버렸노라I put away childish things.
12. 이는For 우리가 지금은 유리창을 통해 희미하게 보지만 그때에는 얼굴과 얼굴을 마주 대하고now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face 지금은 내가 부분적으로 알고있지만now I know in part; but 그때에는 내게 알려진 만큼 그대로 나도 알 것이기then shall I know even as also I am known 때문이라.
13. 그리고And 지금 믿음 소망 사랑 이 셋이 있으나now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but 이것들 중에 가장 큰 것은 사랑이니라the greatest of these is charity.
(요일 4:7-11)
7. 사랑하는 자들Beloved아 우리가 서로를 사랑하자let us love one another. 이는 사랑은 하나님께 속하며 사랑하는 자마다 하나님에게서 태어나서 하나님을 알기 때문이라for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8. 사랑하지 않는 자He that loveth not는 하나님을 알지 못하나니knoweth not God 이는 하나님이 사랑이시기 때문이라for God is love.
9. 하나님께서 자신의 독생자를 세상에 보내사 우리가 그분을 통해 살게 하셨은즉because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him 이것안에서 우리를 향한 하나님의 사랑이 나타났느니라In this was manifested the love of God toward us.
10. 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니라 그분께서 우리를 사랑하셔서 자신의 아들을 보내사 우리의 죄들로 인한 화해 헌물이 되게 하셨나니not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins 여기에 사랑이 있느니라Herein is love/ἀγάπη아가페.
11. 사랑하는 자들Beloved아 하나님께서 우리를 이같이 사랑하셨다면if God so loved us 우리 역시 서로를 사랑하는 것이 마땅하니라we ought also to love one another.
