(출 20:3-5) 너는 내 앞에 다른 신들을 갖지 말지니라Thou shalt have no other gods before me. / 4 너는 너를 위해 어떤 새긴 형상도 만들지 말지니라Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image ~~~ / 5 너는 그것들에게 네 자신을 굽히지 말고 또한 그것들을 섬기지 말지니라Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them. ~~~
(약 1:8) 두 마음을 가진 사람A double minded man은 자기의 모든 길에서in all his ways 안정이 없느니라is unstable.

(마 26:74) 그때에Then 그he는 나는 그 사람을 알지 못하노라I know not the man고 말하면서saying 저주하고 맹세하기 시작했더라began to curse and to swear ~~~
(레 19:12) ¶ 그리고And 너희ye는 내 이름으로by my name 거짓 맹세하지 말지니라shall not swear falsely 또한 너는 네 하나님의 이름을 더럽히지 말지니라neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God. ~~~
(슥 8:17) 그리고And 너희 중 아무도 너희의 마음속으로 자기 이웃을 대적하는 악을 상상하지 말라let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour 그리고and 거짓 맹세를 사랑하지 말라love no false oath. 이는for 이 모든 것들은 내가 미워하는 것들이기all these are things that I hate 때문이니라. 주가 말하노라saith the LORD.
(마 5:33) ¶ 게다가Again ‘너는 스스로 거짓 맹세하지 말고 너의 맹세들을 주께 이행하라Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths’고 옛 시대 사람들에 의해 말해진 것that it hath been said by them of old time을 너희는 들어왔도다ye have heard (약 5:12)
(출 20:16) 너Thou는 네 이웃을 대적하여against thy neighbour 거짓 증언을 나르지 말지니라shalt not bear false witness.
(엡 4:25) 그러므로Wherefore 거짓말을 치우고putting away lying 각 사람이 자기 이웃과 더불어 진리를 말하라speak every man truth with his neighbour. 이는for 우리가 서로 지체들이기we are members one of another 때문이니라.
(골 3:9-10) 서로 거짓말하지 말라Lie not one to another. 너희가 그의 행위들과 함께 옛 사람을 벗었기ye have put off the old man with his deeds 때문에seeing that 그리하라 / 10 그리고And 새 사람을 입었느니라have put on the new man 그것which은 그를 창조하신 그분의 형상을 따라 지식에서 새로워졌느니라is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.
(약 3:14) ~~~ 진리를 거슬러 거짓말하지 말라lie not against the truth.
(요일 1:6) 만일 우리가 우리는 그분과의 친교를 가지고 있다고 말하면서 어둠 가운데 걷는다면If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darknes 우리는 거짓말하고 진리를 행하지 아니하느니라we lie, and do not the truth.
(요일 2:4) 내가 그분을 아노라고 말하면서 그분의 명령들을 지키지 아니하는 자He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments는 거짓말쟁이요is a liar, and 그자안에는 진리가 있지 아니하니라the truth is not in him.
(요일 4:20) 어떤 사람이 나는 하나님을 사랑하노라고 말하면서 자기 형제를 미워하면If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother 그는 거짓말쟁이니라he is a liar ~~~
