Let’s cleanse ourselves(깨끗하자) 

(살전4:7) [하나님]께서 우리를 부정함에 이르도록 부르지 아니하시고 거룩함에 이르도록 부르셨나니(God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.)

 

(벧전 1:15) 오직(But) 너희를 부르신 분께서 거룩하신 것 같이 너희도 온갖 종류의 행실에서 거룩할지니라.(be ye holy in all manner of conversation)

 

(롬 6:22) 그러나 이제는 너희(, ye)가 죄로부터 해방되고 [하나님]께 종이 되어(now being made free from sin, and become servants to God) 거룩함에 이르는 너희의 열매를 얻었으니(have your fruit unto holiness) 그 끝은 영존하는 생명(everlasting life)이니라.

 

(벧후1:3) 우리를 부르사 영광과 덕에 이르게 하신 분을 아는 것을 통해(through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:) 그분의 신성한 권능이 생명과 하나님의 성품에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨도다.(his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness)

 

(고전 5:7a) ~ 너희는 누룩 없는 자들인즉(as ye are unleavened) 새 덩어리가 되기 위하여(that ye may be a new lump) 묵은 누룩을 제거하라(Purge out the old leaven). ~

 

(갈 5:9) 작은 누룩 하나가 온 덩어리를 뜨게 하느니라(A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump).

 

(눅 13:20-21) 또 다시 이르시되, 내가 [하나님]의 왕국(the kingdom of God)을 어디에 비유할까? / 그것은 마치 어떤 여자가 가져다가 굵은 가루 서 말 속에 숨겨 넣어 마침내 전부를 뜨게 한 누룩과 같으니라(It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened), 하시니라.

 

(고후 7:1) 그러므로 극진히 사랑하는 자들아, 우리가 이 약속들을 가졌은즉 [하나님]을 두려워하는 가운데(in the fear of God) 거룩함을 완전히 이루어(, perfecting holiness) 육과 영의 모든 더러움에서 우리 자신을 깨끗하게 하자(let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit).

 

(요일 2:15-16) 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑하지 말라.(Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world) 어떤 사람이 세상을 사랑하면 [아버지]의 사랑이 그 속에 있지 아니하니 / 세상에 있는 모든 것(all that is in the world) 즉 육신의 정욕(情欲) (情慾) (the lust of the flesh)과 안목의 정욕(情欲)(the lust of the eyes)과 인생의 자랑(the pride of life)은 [아버지]에게서 나지 아니하고 세상에서 나느니라.

 

(눅16:15) 그분께서 그들(바리새인들)에게 이르시되, 너희는 사람들 앞에서 너희 자신을 의롭게 만드는 자들이나 너희 마음을 [하나님]께서 아시나니 사람들 가운데서 높게 평가받는 것은 [하나님] 보시기에 가증한 것이니라(that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.)

 

(막4:19) 이 세상의 염려(the cares of this world)와 재물의 속임수(the deceitfulness of riches)와 다른 것들에 대한 정욕(the lusts of other things)이 들어와 말씀을 숨 막히게 하여 열매 맺지 못하게 되는(choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.) 자들이니라.

 

(고전 5:6) 너희가 자랑하는 것이 선하지 아니하도다(Your glorying is not good). 적은 누룩이 온 덩어리를 뜨게 함(a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump)을 너희가 알지 못하느냐?

 

(고전 4:7) 누가 너를 다른 사람과 구별되게 하느냐(who maketh thee to differ from another)? 네가 가진 것 중에 받지 아니한 것이 무엇이냐(what hast thou that thou didst not receive)? 이제 네가 그것을 받았을진대 어찌하여 그것을 받지 아니한 것 같이 자랑하느냐(if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it)?

 

(고전 1:27-29) 그러나 [하나님]께서 지혜로운 자들을 당황하게 하려고 세상의 어리석은 것들을 택하시고(God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise) [하나님]께서 강한 것들을 당황하게 하려고 세상의 약한 것들을 택하시며(God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty) / [하나님]께서 있는 것들을 쓸모없게 하려고 세상의 천한 것들과 멸시받는 것들을 택하시고 참으로 없는 것들을 택하셨나니(base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are) / 이것은 어떤 육체도 자신 앞에서 자랑하지 못하게 하려 하심이라(That no flesh should glory in his presence).

 

(딛 2:7) 모든 일에서(in all things) 네 자신을 선한 행위의 본(a pattern of good works)으로 보이며 교리(doctrine)에서 부패하지 아니함과 신중함과 성실함(uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity)을 보이고

 

(골 2:8) 어떤 사람이 철학과 헛된 속임수로(through philosophy and vain deceit) 너희를 노략하지(spoil) 못하도록 조심하라(Beware). 그것들은 사람들의 전통(the tradition of men)과 세상의 유치한 원리들(the rudiments of the world)을 따르는 것이요 그리스도를 따르는(after Christ) 것이 아니니라.

 

(벧전 1:18) 너희가 알거니와 너희 조상들로부터 전통으로 물려받은(received by tradition from your fathers) 너희의 헛된 행실에서(from your vain conversation) 너희가 구속받은 것(ye were redeemed)은 은이나 금같이 썩을 것들(corruptible things)로 된 것이 아니요,

 

(살후 3:6) 이제 형제들아, 우리 [주] 예수 그리스도의 이름으로(in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ) 우리가 너희에게 명령하노니(we command you) 너희는 질서 없이 걷고(walketh disorderly) 우리에게서 받은 전통대로(after the tradition which he received of us) 걷지 아니하는 모든 형제들에게서 떠나라(that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother).

 

(살후 2:15) 그러므로(Therefore) 형제들아(brethren), 굳게 서서(stand fast) 말로나 우리의 서신으로(whether by word, or our epistle) 너희가 가르침을 받은 전통들을 붙들라(hold the traditions which ye have been taught).
