(살전4:7) 하나님께서 우리를 부르신God hath called us 것은 불결함을 위한 것이 아니라not unto uncleanness, but 거룩함을 위한unto holiness 것이니라.
(벧전 1:14-16) 순종한 자녀들로서As obedient children 이전 너희 무지안에서의 정욕들에 따라according to the former lusts in your ignorance 너희 자신을 꾸미지 말고not fashioning yourselves / 15 오히려But 너희를 부르신 그분께서 거룩하신 것같이as he which hath called you is holy 너희도 온갖 종류의 행실에서 거룩할지라so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. / 16 이는 "내가 거룩하니for I am holy 너희는 거룩하라Be ye holy"고 기록되있기 때문이라Because it is written.(레 11:44/19:2/20:7)
(롬 6:22) 그러나But 이제 죄로부터 해방되었고 하나님께 종들이 된 너희에게는now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye 거룩함에 이른 너희의 열매가 있나니have your fruit unto holiness, and 그 끝은 영존하는 생명the end everlasting life이니라.
(사 57:15) 이는For 영원에 거하는that inhabiteth eternity 높고 높은 이the high and lofty One, 곧 그 이름이 거룩whose name is Holy인 이가 이같이 말하기thus saith 때문이라. “나는 높고 거룩한 곳에 거하노라I dwell in the high and holy place. 또한also 통회하고 겸손한 영을 가진 자와 함께with him that is of a contrite and humble spirit 하느니라. 이는 겸손한 자의 영the spirit of the humble을 소생시키기 위해to revive 그리고 통회하는 자들의 마음the heart of the contrite ones을 소생시키기to revive 위함이라.”
(레 19:2,) 이스라엘 자손들의 온 회중에게 말하라unto all the congregation of the children of Israel 그리고and 그들에게 말하라say unto them, “너희는 거룩할지니라Ye shall be holy 이는for 나 주 너희 하나님이 거룩하기I the LORD your God am holy 때문이라.”
(레 11:44) 이는 내가 주 너희 하나님이기 때문이라For I am the LORD your God. 그러므로therefore 너희는 너희 자신을 성별할지니라ye shall sanctify yourselves. 그리고and 내가 거룩하니 너희는 거룩할지니라ye shall be holy; for I am holy. 또한 너희는 땅에서 기는 그 어떤 기는 것으로도 너희 자신을 더럽히지 말지니라neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
(살전 4:3) 이는 이것이 하나님의 뜻the will of God 곧 너희의 성별your sanctification이기 때문이니 너희는 음행을 삼가고that ye should abstain from fornication
(딤후 2:21) 그러므로therefore 사람이 이런 것들로부터 자신을 깨끗하게 하면If a man purge himself from these 그he는 존귀에 이르는unto honour 그리고 성별된sanctified 그리고 주인이 쓰기에 합당한meet for the master's use 그리고 각각의 모든 선한 일에 예비된prepared unto every good work 그릇이 되리라shall be a vessel.
(히 12:14) 모든 사람과 더불어with all men 화평과 거룩함을 따르라Follow peace and holiness. 그것들이 없이는without which 아무도 주를 보지 못하리라no man shall see the Lord.
(롬 6:19) 너희 육신의 연약함 때문에because of the infirmity of your flesh 내I가 사람들의 관례대로after the manner of men 말하노니speak 전에 너희가 너희 지체들을 불결함과 불법에게 종으로 내어주어 불법에 이른 것같이as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity 이제는 너희 지체들을 의에게 종으로 내어주어 거룩함에 이르라yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
(고후 7:1) 그러므로therefore 지극히 사랑하는 자들dearly beloved아 이 약속들을 가졌으니Having these promises 하나님에 대한 두려움안에서in the fear of God 거룩함을 완성시켜perfecting holiness 육과 영의 모든 더러움에서from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit 우리 자신을 정결하게 하자let us cleanse ourselves.
(갈 1:4) 그Who분께서 하나님 곧 우리 아버지의 뜻에 따라according to the will of God and our Father 이 악한 현 세상에서 그분이 우리를 건지시려고that he might deliver us from this present evil world 우리의 죄들로 인하여 자신을 주셨느니라gave himself for our sins.
(고후 6:17) 주께서 말씀하시노라saith the Lord. ‘그런즉Wherefore 그들 가운데서 나와라come out from among them. 그리고 너희는 분리하라be ye separate. 그리고 불결한 것을 만지지 말라touch not the unclean thing. 그리하면 내가 너희를 받아들이겠노라and I will receive you.’
