만족(滿足)하라.
(딤전 6:6-8) 그러나 만족과 함께with contentment 하나님을 따르는 것godliness이 큰 이득이니라is great gain. / 7 우리가 이 세상에 아무것도 가지고 오지 아니하였은즉 아무것도 가지고 갈 수 없다는 것이 확실하기 때문이라For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. / 8 그러므로And 먹을 것과 입을 것이 있은즉having food and raiment 그것들로 만족하자let us be therewith content.
(히 13:5) “너희의 행실에 탐욕이 없게 하라Let your conversation be without covetousness카비터스니스 그리고and 너희가 가진 그런 것들로 만족하라be content with such things as ye have” ~~~
(막 7:20-23) 그리고And 그분께서 말씀하셨더라he said, “사람에게서 나오는 것That which cometh out of the man, 그것이 사람을 더럽게 하느니라that defileth the man. / 21 이는For 속에서from within, 사람들의 마음에서out of the heart of men 악한 생각evil thoughts, 간음adulteries, 음행fornications, 살인murders, / 22 도둑질Thefts, 탐욕covetousness, 사악함wickedness, 속임deceit, 색욕lasciviousness, 악한 눈an evil eye, 신성모독blasphemy, 교만pride, 어리석음foolishness이 나오기proceed 때문이라. / 23 이 모든 악한 것들All these evil things이 속에서 와서 사람을 더럽게 하느니라come from within, and defile the man.”
(고전 6:9-10) 불의한 자unrighteous가 하나님의 왕국을 상속하지 못할shall not inherit the kingdom of God 것이라는 것을 너희는 알지 못하느냐Know ye not? 속지 말라Be not deceived. 음행하는 자fornicators나 우상숭배자idolaters나 간음하는 자adulterers나 여성화된 남자effeminate나 남자와 함께 그들 자신을 욕되게 하는 자abusers of themselves with mankind나 / 10 도둑thieves이나 탐욕을 부리는 자covetous나 술 취한 자drunkards나 욕하는 자revilers나 강탈하는 자extortioners는 하나님의 왕국을 상속하지 못하리라shall inherit the kingdom of God.
(엡 5:5-6) 이는For 이것을 너희가 알고 있기this ye know 때문이니 곧 호색꾼whoremonger이나 불결한 사람unclean person이나 탐욕을 부리는 사람 곧 우상 숭배자covetous man, who is an idolater는 그리스도의 그리고 하나님의 왕국에서in the kingdom of Christ and of God 어떠한 상속inheritance도 갖지 못한다는 것이라. / 6 아무도 헛된 말들로 너희를 속이지 못하게 하라Let no man deceive you with vain words. 이는for 이런 것들로 인해because of these things 하나님의 진노the wrath of God가 불순종의 자녀들 위에upon the children of disobedience 임하기cometh 때문이라.
(고전 5:11) 그러나But 이제 내가 너희에게 쓴 것now I have written unto you은 사귀지 말라는 것not to keep company이니 만일 형제라 불리는 어떤 사람이 음행하는 자fornicator이거나 탐욕을 부리는 자covetous이거나 우상 숭배자idolater이거나 욕설하는 자railer이거나 술 취한 자drunkard이거나 혹은 강탈하는 자extortioner이거든 누구도 그런 자와는 함께 먹지도 말라with such an one no not to eat는 것이라.

(롬 7:7) ~~~ 이는for ‘너는 탐내지 말라Thou shalt not covet.’고 율법이 말하지 않았더라면except the law had said 나는 탐욕을 알지 못하였을 것이기I had not known lust 때문이라.
(고전 14:39) 그러므로Wherefore 형제자매들brethren아 말씀 전달하는 것을 사모하라covet to prophesy 그리고and 타언어들로 말하는 것to speak with tongues을 금하지말라forbid not.
(갈 5:16-17) 그런즉then 이것을 내가 말하노니This I say 곧 성령님 안에서 걸으라Walk in the Spirit 그리하면and 너희가 육신의 욕망을 행하지 아니하리라ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. / 17 이는For 육신은 성령님을 대적하고 싶어하고the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and 성령님은 육신에 대해 그러하시나니the Spirit against the flesh 이들이 서로 반대가 되므로these are contrary the one to the other 너희는 너희가 원하는 그 것들을 할 수 없기ye cannot do the things that ye would 때문이라.
(고전 13:4) 사랑Charity채러티은 ~~~ 시기하지 아니하며envieth not ~~~
(약 4:5) 너희는 ‘우리안에 거하는 영은 시기하고 싶어한다The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy.’라는 그 기록이 헛말이라고the scripture saith in vain 생각하느냐?
(잠 27:4) 진노Wrath는 잔인하고 분노anger는 포악하니라is outrageous 하지만but 시기 앞에서before envy 누가 능히 설 수 있으리요who is able to stand?
(약 3:16) 이는For 시기envying와 다툼이 있는 곳에는 혼란과 각각의 악한 모든 일이 있기 때문이라there is confusion and every evil work.
(벧전 2:1-3) 그러므로Wherefore 모든 악의all malice와 모든 간사함all guile과 위선hypocrisies과 시기envies와 모든 악한 말all evil speakings을 치우고laying aside / 2 새로 태어난 아기들로서As newborn babes 말씀의 순수한 젖the sincere milk of the word을 사모하라desire. 이는 너희가 그것으로 자라게 하려that ye may grow thereby 함이라. / 3 만일 너희가 주께서 은혜로우신 것을 맛보았으면If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious 그리하라.

(벧전 1:23) 다시 태어난 것Being born again은 썩을 씨에서가 아니라not of corruptible seed, but 썩지 아니할 것에서of incorruptible 곧 살아 있고 영원히 거하는which liveth and abideth for ever 하나님의 말씀에 의해서by the word of God이니라.
(벧전 1:18-19) 너희가 알거니와 너희ye는 너희 조상들로부터의 전통을 통해 받은 너희의 헛된 행실에서from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers 구속받은were redeemed 것은 은과 금같은 썩을 것들로가with corruptible things, as silver and gold 아니니라not. / 19 오로지But 흠없고 점없는 어린양의 것과 같은as of a lamb without blemish and without spot 그리스도의 보배로운 피로with the precious blood of Christ 된 것이니라.
(갈 5:25-26) 만일 우리가 성령님 안에서 산다면If we live in the Spirit 우리 또한 성령님 안에서 걷자let us also walk in the Spirit. / 26 서로를 자극하고 서로를 시기하면서provoking one another, envying one another 헛된 영광을 바라지 말자Let us not be desirous of vain glory.
(롬 13:13) 흥청거림과 취함 속에서in rioting and drunkenness 불륜과 방탕함 속에서in chambering and wantonness 그리고 다툼과 시기속에서in strife and가 envying 아니라not 낮에처럼 정직하게 걷자Let us walk honestly, as in the day.
(딛 3:3) 이는For 우리 자신도 한때는 어리석고 불순종하며 속고 여러 가지 욕망들과 쾌락들을 섬기며serving divers lusts and pleasures 악의와 시기 속에 살았고living in malice and envy 미움에 차서 서로를 미워하였기 때문이라.
(고전 10:24) 누구도 자기 자신의 것을 구하지 말라Let no man seek his own 오히려but 각 사람은 다every man 다른 이의 풍요another's wealth를 구하라.
(벧전 1:14-15) 순종한 자녀들로서As obedient children 이전 너희 무지안에서의 욕망들에 따라according to the former lusts in your ignorance 너희 자신을 꾸미지 말고not fashioning yourselves / 15 오히려But 너희를 부르신 그분께서 거룩하신 것같이as he which hath called you is holy 너희도 온갖 종류의 행실에서 거룩할지라so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.
(벧전 2:11) 지극히 사랑하는 자들Dearly beloved아 나그네들과 순례자들인 너희you as strangers and pilgrims에게 내가 간청하노니I beseech 혼을 대적하여 싸우는 육체의 욕망들을 삼가라abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.
(골 3:4-6) 우리의 생명이신 그리스도께서 나타나실 때에When Christ, who is our life, shall appear 그때에 너희도 그분과 함께 영광 안에 나타나리라then shall ye also appear with him in glory. / 5 그러므로therefore 땅에 있는 너희의 지체들을 죽이라Mortify your members which are upon the earth. 곧 음행fornication, 불결함uncleanness, 무절제한 애정inordinate affection, 악한 욕정evil concupiscence, 그리고 우상숭배인 탐욕covetousness, which is idolatry을 그러하라. / 6 이것들로 인하여For which things' sake 하나님의 진노the wrath of God가 불순종의 자녀들에게on the children of disobedience 임하느니라cometh.
(시 37:1) 악을 행하는 자들로 인하여because of evildoers 네 자신을 초조하게 하지 말라Fret not thyself. 또한 너는 불법을 행하는 자들을 부러워하지도 말라neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
