낮추면 높여주신다
★ humble/ˈhʌmbəl험블[벌]/ ↔ lift up
(약 4:10) 주의 눈앞에서in the sight of the Lord 너희 자신들yourselves을 낮추라Humble, 그러면and 그he분께서 너희를 높이시리라shall lift you up.
★ abase어베이스/ ↔ exalt이그졸트
(마 23:12) 그리고And 자기 자신을 높이는 자는 누구든지 다whosoever shall exalt himself 낮아지고shall be abased; and 자기 자신을 낮추는 자he that shall humble himself는 높여지리라shall be exalted.
(눅 14:11) 자기 자신을 높이는 자는 누구든지 다 낮아지고whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and 자기 자신을 낮추는 자는 높아지리라he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
★ proud프라우드 ↔ humble험블/lowly로울리
(약 4:6) 그러나But 그he분께서 더 많은 은혜를 주시느니라giveth more grace. 그러므로Wherefore 그he분께서 말씀하시느니라saith, “하나님God은 교만한 자들the proud을 물리치신다resisteth 하지만but 겸손한 자들에게는unto the humble 은혜를 주신다giveth grace.”
(잠 3:34) 그he분께서는 경멸하는 자들the scorners을 경멸하시는게scorneth 확실하니라Surely 하지만but 그he분께서는 겸손한 자들에게는unto the lowly 은혜를 주시느니라giveth grace.
(벧전 5:5-6) ~~~ 겸손으로 옷입으라be clothed with humility 이는for 하나님God께서는 교만한 자들을 물리치시고resisteth the proud, and 겸손한 자들에게 은혜를 주시기giveth grace to the humble 때문이라. / 6 그러므로therefore 하나님의 강한 손아래서under the mighty hand of God 너희 자신들을 낮추라Humble yourselves그리하면 그분께서 정해진 때에 너희를 높이시리라that he may exalt you in due time.
★ respect/rɪˈspekt리스펙트/ ↔ disrespect/ˌdɪsrɪˈspekt디스리스펙트/
(시 138:6) 주께서는 높으시지만Though the LORD be high 그럼에도 불구하고yet 그he분께서는 겸손한 자들unto the lowly에게 관심을 가지시느니라hath respect. 하지만but 그he분께서는 멀리서도afar off 교만한 자들을 아시느니라the proud knoweth.
(시 107:11-14) 그들they이 하나님의 말씀들을 거역했고rebelled against the words of God, and 지극히 높으신 이의 계획을 업신여겼기contemned the counsel of the most High 때문이라Because. / 12 그러므로Therefore 그he분께서 중노동으로with labour 그들의 마음을 끌어 내리셨도다brought down their heart. 그들이 넘어져도 돕는 자가 아무도 없었도다they fell down, and there was none to help. / 13 그때에Then 그들they이 그들의 고난 가운데서in their trouble 주께 부르짖자cried unto the LORD, and 그he분께서 그들them을 그들의 고통들로부터out of their distresses 구원하셨도다saved. / 14 그He분께서 그들을 어둠과 사망의 그림자에서 데리고 나오셨고brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and 그들의 결박들을 산산이 끊으셨도다brake their bands in sunder.
(신 8:2-3) 그리고And 너thou는 주 너의 하나님께서 이 사십 년 동안 광야에서 너를 인도하신which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness 모든 길을 기억할지니라shalt remember all the way. 이것은 너를 낮추기 위해서to humble thee 그리고and 너를 시험하여 네 안에 무엇이 있는지, 네가 그분의 명령들을 지키고자 하는지 그렇지 아니한지를 알기위함to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no이었느니라 / 3 그리고And 그he분께서는 너를 낮추셨고humbled thee, and 네가 주리는 것을 허용하셨으며suffered thee to hunger, and 네가 알지 못하고 네 아버지들도 알지 못한 만나로 너를 먹이셨느니라fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know. 이것은 그분께서 사람이 빵으로만 사는게 아니라 사람이 하나님의 입에서 나오는 각각의 모든 말씀으로도 산다는 것을 네가 알도록 하기 위함that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live이었느니라.
(삼상 2:7) 주The LORD께서는 가난하게도 하시고 부하게도 하시는도다maketh poor, and maketh rich. 그he분께서는 낮추기도 하시고 높이기도 하시는도다bringeth low, and lifteth up.
★ haughty호오티 ≒ proud프라우드
(삼하 22:28) 그리고And 당신thou께서는 고난 받는 백성을 구원해주시나이다the afflicted people wilt save 하지만but 당신의 눈은 오만한 자들 위에 있어thine eyes are upon the haughty 당신께서 그들을 끌어 내리시나이다that thou mayest bring them down.
(사 10:15) 도끼가 그것으로 찍는 자를 대적해 자신을 자랑하겠느냐Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? 아니면or 톱이 그것을 켜는 자를 대적해 자신을 높이겠느냐shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? 이것은 마치 막대기rod가 그것을 들어 올리는 자들을 대적해 자신을 흔들려 하거나as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or 지팡이가 마치 자기가 나무가 아닌 것처럼 자신을 들어 올리려 함as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood과 같도다.
(대하 26:3-5//16/19) 웃시야가 십육 세였을 때Sixteen years old was Uzziah when 그는 통치하기 시작했더라he began to reign 그리고and 그he는 예루살렘에서in Jerusalem 오십이 년동안 통치하였더라reigned fifty and two years. 또한also 그의 어머니의 이름은 예루살렘의 여골리야였더라His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. / 4 그리고And 그he는 자기 아버지 아마샤가 행한 모든 것에 따라according to all that his father Amaziah did 주의 눈앞에서in the sight of the LORD 올바른 것that which was right을 행하였더라did. / 5 그리고And 그he는 하나님의 비전들에 이해력을 가진 스가랴의 날들에in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God 하나님을 구하였고sought God and 그가 주를 구하는 동안에는as long as he sought the LORD 하나님God께서 그를 형통하게 하셨더라made him to prosper. / 16 ¶ 그러나But 그가 강해졌을 때when he was strong 그의 마음his heart이 높아져서 그의 파멸에 이르렀더라was lifted up to his destruction 이는for 그he가 주 자기 하나님께 범법하고transgressed against the LORD his God, and 분향 제단에 분향하기위해to burn incense upon the altar of incense 주의 전에 들어갔기went into the temple of the LORD 때문이더라. // 19 그때에Then 웃시야Uzziah가 화를 내며was wroth, and 분향하기위해to burn incense 자기 손에 향로를 가졌더라had a censer in his hand. 그러자and 그가 제사장들에게 화를 낼 때에while he was wroth with the priests 주의 집에서 분향 제단 옆의 제사장들 앞에서before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar 그의 이마에in his forehead 나병이 바로 올라왔더라the leprosy even rose up. ★ leprosy레프러시 → 나병
(대하 7:14) 만일If 내 이름으로 불리는 내 백성my people, which are called by my name이 자기 자신들을 낮추고shall humble themselves, and 기도하며 내 얼굴을 구하고pray, and seek my face, and 자기들의 악한 길들에서 돌아서면turn from their wicked ways 그러면then 내가 하늘로부터 듣고will I hear from heaven, and 그들의 죄를 용서하며 그들의 땅을 고치겠노라will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
(시 10:17) 주LORD님이시여 당신thou께서는 겸손한 자의 소원the desire of the humble을 들으셨나이다hast heard ～～～
(대하 33:12-13) 그런데And 그가 고통 중에 있을 때에when he was in affliction 그는 주 자기 하나님께 간청하고he besought the LORD his God, and 자기 아버지들의 하나님 앞에서before the God of his fathers 자신을 크게 낮추었더라humbled himself greatly / 13 그리고And 그분께 기도하였더라prayed unto him 그러자and 그he분께서 그로부터 간청을 받으셨고was intreated of him, and 그의 간구를 들으사heard his supplication, and 그를 다시 예루살렘에 그의 왕국으로 데려오셨더라brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. 그때에Then 므낫세Manasseh는 주 그분이 하나님이심that the LORD he was God을 알았더라knew.

(왕하 21:9) 그러나But 그들이 귀를 기울이지 아니하였고they hearkened not: and 므낫세Manasseh는 그들을 꾀어 주께서 이스라엘의 자손들 앞에서 멸하신 민족들보다 더 많은 악을 행하게 하였더라seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.
(대하 32:24-26) ¶ 그 무렵에In those days 히스기야Hezekiah가 병들어 죽게 되어was sick to the death, and 주께 기도했더라prayed unto the LORD 그러자and 그he분께서 그에게 말씀하셨고spake unto him, and 그he분이 그에게 한 표적을 주셨더라gave him a sign. / 25 그러나But 히스기야Hezekiah가 자기에게 행해진 은혜대로according to the benefit done unto him 보답하지 아니하였더라rendered not again 이는for 그의 마음이 높아졌기his heart was lifted up 때문이었더라. 그리하여therefore 그에게 그리고 유다와 예루살렘에upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem 진노가 있었더라there was wrath. / 26 그럼에도 불구하고Notwithstanding 히스기야Hezekiah가 자기 마음의 교만에 대해for the pride of his heart 자신을 낮추었으며humbled himself 그와 예루살렘의 거주민들도 그와 같이 하였더니both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that 주의 진노가 히스기야의 날들에는 그들에게 임하지 아니하였더라the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
(왕상 21:29) 아합이 내 앞에서 어떻게 자신을 낮추는지를 네가 보느냐Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? 그가 내 앞에서 자신을 낮추기 때문에because he humbleth himself before me 내가 그의 날들에는 재앙을 가져오지 아니하겠노라I will not bring the evil in his days 하지만but 그의 아들의 날들에는 내가 그의 집에 재앙을 가져오겠노라in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.
(갈 6:3) 이는For 만일if 어떤 사람a man이 자기가 아무것도 아닌데도 불구하고when he is nothing 자신이 무엇이나 되는 것으로 생각하면think himself to be something 그he는 자신을 속이는 것이기deceiveth himself 때문이라.
★ mind → 마인드/마음/생각/사고 방식...
(빌 2:3/5) 그 어떤 것도 다툼이나 자만으로 행해지지 않게하라Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory. 오직but 겸손한 마인드로in lowliness of mind 각자가 상대방을 자기들 자신보다 더 낫게 여기라let each esteem other better than themselves. / 5 너희 안에 이런 마인드가 있게하라Let this mind be in you. 그것은 그리스도 예수님 안에도 있었던 것이니라which was also in Christ Jesus.
★ humble험블=condescend칸디센드 → 자신을 낮추다
(롬 12:16) 서로를 향해 같은 마인드를 가지라Be of the same mind one toward another. 높은 것들에 마음을 두지 말라Mind not high things 오히려but 낮은 처지의 사람들에게 겸손하게 굴라condescend to men of low estate. 너희 자신의 자만심들안에서 건방을 떨지 말라Be not wise in your own conceits.
