(창 4:1/8) 그리고And 아담Adam이 자기 아내 이브를 알았더라knew Eve his wife 그리하여and 그녀she가 수태하여 가인을 낳고 말했더라conceived, and bare Cain, and said, ‘내가 주님으로부터 남자를 얻었도다I have gotten a man from the LORD.’ / 8 그리고And 가인Cain이 자기 동생 아벨과with Abel his brother 이야기를 나누었더라talked. 그리고and 그들이 들에 있을 때when they were in the field 가인Cain이 자기 동생 아벨을 대적해 일어나rose up against Abel his brother, and 그를 죽이는slew him 일이 있었더라it came to pass.

 

(창 49:3-4) ¶ 르우벤Reuben아 너는 내 맏아들이고 내 힘이고 내 힘의 시작이니라thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength ~~~ / 4 물처럼 불안정한 너Unstable as water, thou는 뛰어나지 못하리라shalt not excel 왜냐하면because 네가 네 아버지의 침상에 올라 간뒤에thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then 네가 그것을 더럽혔기defiledst thou it 때문이도다 그he가 내 침상에 올라갔도다went up to my couch.

 

(삼상 8:1-3) 그리고And 사무엘이 나이들었을때when Samuel was old 그는 자기 아들들을 이스라엘에 대한 재판관들로 삼게that he made his sons judges over Israel 되었다it came to pass. / 2 이제Now 그의 첫째의 이름은 요엘이었고the name of his firstborn was Joel; and 그의 둘째의 이름은 아비야the name of his second, Abiah였더라. 그들이 브엘세바에서 재판관들이었더라they were judges in Beersheba. / 3 그런데And 그의 아들들이 자기 길들로 걷지 아니하고his sons walked not in his ways, but 옆으로 돌이켜 이익을 추구하며 뇌물을 취하고 재판을 굽게 하였더라turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.

 

(삼하 18:5) 그리고And 왕이 요압과 아비새와 잇대에게 명령하여 말했더라the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, ‘나를 위해 청년 곧 압살롬을 너그러이 대하라Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom’ 그리고And 왕이 압살롬에 관하여 모든 대장들에게 명을 내릴 때에when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom 온 백성이 들었더라all the people heard.

 

(시 34:9/11) 오 너희 그분의 성도들O ye his saints아 주를 두려워하라fear the LORD. 그분을 두려워하는 자들에게는to them that fear him 부족함이 없기 때문이라for there is no want. / 11 너희 자녀들ye children아 내게로 와서 귀를 기울이라Come, hearken unto me. 내가 너희에게 주의 두려움을 가르치겠노라I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

 

(레 19:3) ¶ 너희 각 사람 다 자기 어머니와 자기 아버지를 두려워하고Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and 내 안식일들을 지킬지니라keep my sabbaths. 나는 주 너희 하나님이니라I am the LORD your God.

(출 21:15) ¶ 그리고And 자기 아버지나 어머니를 치는 자는 반드시 죽음에 처해질니라he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.

 

(출 21:17) ¶ 그리고And 자기 아버지나 어머니를 저주하는 자는 반드시 죽음에 처해질니라he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

 

(엡 6:1) 자녀들Children아 주안에서in the Lord 너희 부모들에게 순종하라obey your parents. 이것이 옳기때문이라for this is right.

 

(골 3:20) 자녀들Children아 모든 일에서 너희 부모에게 순종하라obey your parents in all things. 이것이 주께 큰 기쁨을 드리기 때문이라for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

 

(엡 6:4) 그리고And 너희 아버지들ye fathers아 너희 자녀들을 자극해 격노케 하지 말라provoke not your children to wrath 오히려but 주의 교육과 훈계안에서in the nurture and admonition of the Lord 그들을 양육하라bring them up.

 

(골 3:21) 아버지들아Fathers 너희 자녀들을 자극하여 화나게 하지 말라provoke not your children to anger, 이것은 그들이 낙담치 않게 하려함이니라lest they be discouraged.

(신 21:18-21) ¶ 만약If 어떤 사람에게 고집센 그리고 반항적인 아들이 있는데a man have a stubborn and rebellious son 그which가 자기 아버지의 음성이나 자기 어머니의 음성에 순종하지 아니하려하고will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and 그들이 그를 징계했는데도 불구하고when they have chastened him 그들에게 귀기울이지 아니하려하면will not hearken unto them / 19 그러면Then 그의 아버지와 어머니가 그를 붙잡아서shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and 그를 그의 도시의 원로들에게 그리고 그의 고장의 성문으로 데려갈지니라bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place / 20 그리고And 그들they이 그의 도시의 원로들에게unto the elders of his city ‘우리의 이 아들은 고집이 세고 반항적이나이다. 그가 우리의 음성에 순종하려 하지 아니하나이다. 그는 폭식가이며 술고래이나이다This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard’라고 말할지니라shall say. / 21 그러면And 그의 도시의 모든 사람들이 그를 돌로 쳐서 그가 죽게되리라all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die 그렇게하여 너는 너희 가운데서 악을 치울것이니라. 그리하면 온 이스라엘이 듣고 두려워하리라so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

 

(잠 30:17) 자기 아버지를 조롱하며 자기 어머니에게 순종하기를 싫어하는 눈The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother은 골짜기의 까마귀들이 그것을 쪼아 내리라the ravens of the valley shall pick it out 그리고and 새끼 독수리들이 그것을 먹으리라the young eagles shall eat it.

 

(엡 6:2-3) 네 아버지와 어머니를 공경하라Honour thy father and mother. (그것은 약속을 가진 첫번째 명령이니라which is the first commandment with promise) / 3 이것은 네가 잘되고 네가 땅에서 장수하게 하려 함That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth이라.

 

참고 3 열가지 명령들Ten commandments ⇒ 십계명(十誡命)

01. 너는 내 앞에 다른 신들을 두지 말지니라Thou shalt have no other gods before me.(출 20:3)

02. 너는 너를 위해 어떤 새긴 형상도 만들지 말지니라Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image ~~~ / 5 너는 그것들에게 절하지 말고 또한 그것들을 섬기지도 말지니라Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them. ~~~(출 20:4-5)

03. 너는 주 네 하나님의 이름을 헛되이 취하지 말지니라Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain. ~~~(출 20:7)

04. 안식일을 기억하여 거룩히 지키라Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.(출 20:8)

 

05. ¶ 네 아버지와 네 어머니를 공경하라Honour thy father and thy mother. 그리하면 주 네 하나님이 네게 주시는 그 땅에서 네 날들이 길리라that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.(출 20:12)

 

06. 너는 살인하지 말지니라Thou shalt not kill.(출 20:13)

비교 (요일 3:15) 자기 형제를 미워하는 자는 누구든지 다Whosoever hateth his brother 살인자이니라is a murderer ~~~

07. 너는 간음하지 말지니라Thou shalt not commit adultery.(출 20:14)

비교 (약 4:4) 너희 간음남들과 간음녀들아Ye adulterers and adulteresses 너희ye는 세상에 대한 친교가 하나님께 원수됨that the friendship of the world is enmity with God을 알지 못하느냐know not? 그러므로therefore 세상의 친구가 되고자하는 자는 누구든지 다whosoever will be a friend of the world 하나님의 원수이니라is the enemy of God.

08. 너는 도둑질하지 말지니라Thou shalt not steal.(출 20:15)

09. 너는 네 이웃을 대적하여 거짓 증언하지 말지니라Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.(출 20:16)

10. 너는 네 이웃의 집을 탐내지 말지니라Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house. 너는 ~~~ 네 이웃의 것 중 어떤것도 탐내지 말지니라thou shalt not covet ~ any thing that is thy neighbour's.(출 20:17)

비교 (골 3:5) ~~~ 탐욕covetousness은 우상 숭배니라is idolatry.

 

(신 27:16) 자기 아버지나 어머니를 업신여기는 자he that setteth light by his father or his mother는 저주를 받으리라Cursed be ~~~

 

(잠 23:22) 너를 낳은 네 아버지께unto thy father that begat thee 귀를 기울이라Hearken 그리고and 그녀가 나이 들었을 때when she is old 네 어머니를 업신여기지 말라despise not thy mother.

 

(잠 1:8) ~~~ 네 아버지의 훈계를 들으라hear the instruction of thy father 그리고and 네 어머니의 법을 저버리지 말라forsake not the law of thy mother.

 

(딤전 5:4) ~~~ 만일 어떤 과부에게 자녀들이나 손자들이 있거든if any widow have children or nephews 그들로 하여금 먼저 집에서 효성piety을 보이는 것 그리고 자기들의 부모에게 보답하는 것을 배우게 하라let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents. 이는 그것이 하나님 앞에서 선하며 받으실 만한 것이기 때문이라for that is good and acceptable before God.

 

(신 6:6-7) 그리고And 이 날 내가 네게 명령하는 이 말씀들these words, which I command thee this day을 네 마음속에 둘지니라shall be in thine heart / 7 그리고And 너thou는 그것들them을 네 자녀들에게 부지런히 가르칠니라shalt teach diligently unto thy children ~~~

 

(잠 29:17) 네 아들을 바로잡으라Correct thy son. 그리하면and 그he가 네게 안식을 주리라shall give thee rest 참으로yea 그he가 네 혼에게 기쁨을 주리라shall give delight unto thy soul.

 

(히 12:5-7) 그리고And 자녀들에게 그러하듯이as unto children 너희에게 이르시는 그 권면the exhortation which speaketh unto you 곧 내 아들아 너는 주의 징계하심을 멸시하지 말라 또한 네가 그분께 책망당할 때 기진하지 말라My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him.를 너희가 잊어왔도다ye have forgotten. / 6 이는For 주께서 사랑하시는 자를 그분께서는 징계하시고whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and 그분이 받아들이시는 아들마다 징벌하시기scourgeth every son whom he receiveth 때문이라. / 7 만일 너희가 징계하심을 견뎌내면If ye endure chastening 하나님God께서는 너희를 아들들처럼 대해 주시느리라dealeth with you as with sons 아버지가 징계하지 않는 자가 무슨 아들이겠느냐for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

 

참고 4

(잠 29:15) 매와 꾸지람The rod and reproof은 지혜를 주느니라give wisdom 하지만but 홀로 버려둔 아이a child left to himself는 자기 어머니에게 수치를 가져오느니라bringeth his mother to shame.

 

(잠 19:18) 소망이 있는 동안에while there is hope 네 아들을 징계하라Chasten thy son 그리고and 그의 울음으로 인해for his crying 네 혼이 보아주지 않게하라let not thy soul spare.

 

(잠 22:15) 아이의 마음에는in the heart of a child 어리석음Foolishness이 매여 있느니라is bound 그러나but 바로잡음의 매the rod of correction가 그로부터 그것을 멀리 몰아내리라shall drive it far from him.

 

(잠 23:13) 아이에게서 바로잡기를 그만두지 말라Withhold not correction from the child. ~~~

 

(잠 22:6) 아이를 그가 마땅히 가야 할 길안에서 똑바로 훈련시키라Train up a child in the way he should go. 그리하면and 그가 나이들어서도when he is old 그는 그것에서 떠나지 아니하리라he will not depart from it.
