왜 기도(祈禱)해야 하는가?
(막 14:38) 너희가 시련에 들어가지 않기위해lest ye enter into temptation 너희는 조심하라 그리고 기도하라Watch ye and pray. 참으로 영은 준비되있으나 육이 약하도다The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

(눅 10:25) ¶ 그리고And 주목하라behold, 어떤 율법사가 일어나 그분을 시험하여 말했더라a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, ‘선생님Master이여, 내가 무엇을 하여야 영원한 생명을 상속하리이까what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’
(약 1:12) 시련을 견디는 사람은 복이 있도다Blessed is the man that endureth temptation ~~~
(마 6:13) 그리고And 저희를 시련으로 이끌지 마소서lead us not into temptation 오히려but 저희를 악에서 건지소서deliver us from evil ~~~
(골 4:2) 기도안에서 계속하라Continue in prayer, 그리고and 그 것안에서in the same 감사드림과 함께 조심하라watch with thanksgiving;
(벧전 4:7) 그러나But 모든 것들의 끝the end of all things이 가까이 있도다is at hand: 그러므로therefore 너희ye는 맑은 정신을 가지라be sober, 그리고and 기도에 조심하라watch unto prayer.
(갈 6:1) 형제들Brethren아, 만일 어떤 사람이 잘못에 빠지면if a man be overtaken in a fault 영적인 너희ye which are spiritual가 온유함의 영안에서in the spirit of meekness 그러한 자를 회복시키라restore such an one. 네 자신을 살펴 너도 유혹당하지않게 하라considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
(딤전 4:1) ~~~ 마지막 때에in the latter times 일부some가 유혹하는 영들 곧 마귀들의 교리들에 주의를 기울여giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils 믿음에서 떠나리라shall depart from the faith

(마 4:3) 그리고And 그 시험하는 자가 그분께 온 후when the tempter came to him 그he가 말했더라said, ‘네가 아들 하나님이거든If thou be the Son of God 이 돌들이 빵이 되도록 명령하라command that these stones be made bread.’
(살전 3:5) 이런 이유로For this cause, 내가 더 이상 참을 수 없을 때when I could no longer forbear, 내가 너희의 믿음을 알기위해 보냈노라I sent to know your faith, 이것은 그 시험하는 자가 너희를 유혹하지 않도록 그리고 우리의 수고가 헛되지 않도록 하기 위함이었느니라lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
(창 3:5) 이는For 너희가 그것을 먹는 그 날에in the day ye eat thereof, 그 때then 너희 눈들이 열리고your eyes shall be opened, and 너희가 선과 악을 알아 knowing good and evil 신들과 같이 될것임을ye shall be as gods 하나님이 아시기God doth know 때문이라.
(약 1:14) 그러나But 각 사람이 다every man 그가 자기 자신의 욕망에 이끌릴 때when he is drawn away of his own lust 유혹당하고 꼬임당하느니라is tempted, and enticed.
(딤전 6:6) 그러나But 만족과 함께 하나님을 따르는 것godliness with contentment이 큰 이득이니라is great gain.
(눅 8:13) 바위 표면에 있는 자들They on the rock은 그들이 들을 때when they hear 기쁨으로 말씀을 받아들이는which receive the word with joy 그런데and 이것들에 뿌리가 없어서these have no root 잠시 믿다가 유혹시에 떨어져 나가는which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away 자들이니라are they.
(엡 6:11/17-18) 너희가 마귀의 간계들을 대적해 설 수 있도록that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil 하나님의 온전한 갑옷을 입으라Put on the whole armour of God. / 17 그리고And 구원의 투구와 하나님의 말씀인 성령님의 검the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God을 취하라take. / 18 성령님안에서 모든 기도와 간구로 항상 구하라Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit ~~~
(고전 10:13) 사람에게 공통인 그러한 것외에 어떤 시련도 너희를 취하지 못했느니라There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man 오히려but 하나님은 신실하셔서God is faithful 그who분은 너희가 감당할 수 있는 것 이상으로above that ye are able 너희가 시련 당하는 것을 허락치 아니하시느니라will not suffer you to be tempted 오히려but 너희가 그것을 감당할 수 있도록that ye may be able to bear it 그 시련과 함께with the temptation 피할 길도 만들어 주시느니라will also make a way to escape
(약 1:12) 시련을 견디는 사람은 복이 있도다Blessed is the man that endureth temptation 이는for 그가 단련된 후에when he is tried 그he는 주께서 자기를 사랑하는 자들에게 약속하신 생명의 관(冠)the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him을 받을 것이기shall receive 때문이라.
(벧전 5:8) 맑은 정신을 가지라Be sober, 방심하지말라be vigilant; 너희의 대적인 마귀your adversary the devil가 으르렁거리는 사자처럼as a roaring lion 자기가 삼킬 자를 찾으며seeking whom he may devour 이리 저리 걷고있기walketh about때문이라because
(시 138:3) 제가 부르짖은 날에In the day when I cried 당신께서 제게 답하셨고thou answeredst me, and 제 혼 안에 힘으로 저를 강하게 하셨나이다strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
