(고후 13:5) 너희가 믿음 안에 있는지(whether ye be in the faith) 너희 자신을 살펴보고(Examine yourselves) 너희 자신을 입증하라(prove your own selves). 예수 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시는 줄을 너희가 스스로 알지 못하느냐(Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you)? 그렇지 않으면 너희는 버림받은 자니라(except ye be reprobates).

 

(눅 24:19-21/25/27/31) 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 무슨 일들이냐? 하시매 그들이 그분께 이르되, 나사렛 예수님에 관한 일들이니라. 그분은 [하나님]과 온 백성 앞에서 행동과 말에서 능력 있는 대언자였는데 / 20 수제사장들과 우리의 치리자들이 그분을 넘겨주어 정죄 받아 죽게 하고 십자가에 못 박았느니라. / 21 그러나 우리는 그분께서 이스라엘을 구속할 분이시라고 믿었노라(But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel). 이 모든 것 외에도 오늘은 이런 일들이 이루어진 지 사흘째 되는 날이요, / 25 이에 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 오 어리석고 대언자들이 말한 모든 것을 마음에 더디 믿는 자들이여(O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken), / 27 모세와 모든 대언자들의 글에서 시작하여 모든 성경 기록들에서 자기에 관한 것들을 그들에게 풀어 설명해 주시니라(beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself). / 31 그들의 눈이 열려 그들이 그분을 알아보았으나(their eyes were opened, and they knew him) 그분께서는 그들의 시야에서 사라지셨더라.

 

(막 4:35/37-38/40) 바로 그 날 저녁이 되매 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 우리가 저편으로 건너가자(Let us pass over unto the other side), 하시니라. / 37 큰 폭풍이 일어나고 파도가 배 안에 들이쳐서 이제 배에 물이 가득하게 되었으되(there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full) / 38 그분께서는 배 뒤쪽에서 베개를 베고 주무시더라. 그들이 그분을 깨우며 그분께 이르되, 선생님이여, 우리가 죽는 것을 돌아보지 아니하시나이까(carest thou not that we perish)? 하매 / 40 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 너희가 어찌하여 이렇게 두려워하느냐(Why are ye so fearful)? 어찌 너희가 믿음이 없느냐(how is it that ye have no faith)? 하시니

 

(막 4:14) ¶ 씨 뿌리는 자는 말씀을 뿌리느니라(The sower soweth the word).

 

(눅 4:4) 예수님께서 그에게 응답하여 이르시되, 기록된바(It is written), 사람이 빵으로만 살 것이 아니요, [하나님]의 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라(That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God), 하였느니라, 하시더라. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

 

(롬 10:8) 그러나 그것이 무엇을 말하느냐? 말씀이 네게 가까이 있어 네 입에 있으며 네 마음에 있느니라(The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart), 하나니 곧(that is) 우리가 선포하는 믿음의 말씀이라(the word of faith, which we preach).

 

(딤전 4:6) 네가 형제들에게 이것들을 기억하게 하면(If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things) 네가 도달한 믿음의 말씀들과 선한 교리의 말씀들로 양육 받은(nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained) 예수 그리스도의 선한 사역자가 되리라(shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ).

 

(롬 10:16-17) 그러나 그들이 다 복음에 순종하지는 아니하였나니 이사야(Esaias)가 이르기를, [주]여, 우리가 전한 것을 누가 믿었나이까(Lord, who hath believed our report)? 하느니라. / 17 그런즉 이와 같이 믿음은 들음에 의해 오며(faith cometh by hearing) 들음은 [하나님]의 말씀에 의해 오느니라(hearing by the word of God). *

 

개역

(롬 10:17) 그러므로 믿음은 들음에서 나며 들음은 그리스도의 말씀으로 말미암았느니라

 

(갈 3:23/25-26) 그러나 믿음이 오기 전에는(before faith came) 우리가 율법 아래 붙잡혀서 나중에 계시될 믿음에 이르기까지(unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed) 갇혀 있었느니라(were kept). / 25 그러나 믿음이 온 뒤에는(after that faith is come) 우리가 더 이상 훈육 선생 아래 있지 아니하도다(we are no longer under a schoolmaster). / 26 너희가 다 그리스도 예수님을 믿는 믿음으로 말미암아 [하나님]의 아이들이 되었나니(For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus)

 

(요 1:12) 그분을 받아들인 자들(as many as received him) 곧 그분의 이름을 믿는 자들에게는(even to them that believe on his name) 다 [하나님]의 아들이 되는 권능을 그분께서 주셨으니

 

(롬 10:13) 누구든지 [주]의 이름을 부르는 자는(whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord) 구원을 받으리라(shall be saved).

 

(롬 10:9) 네가 만일 네 입으로 [주] 예수님을 시인하고(if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus) [하나님]께서 그분을 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 것을 네 마음속으로 믿으면(, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead) 구원을 받으리니(thou shalt be saved)

 

(롬 10:10) 사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고(with the heart man believeth unto righteousness) 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르느니라(; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation).

 

(행 16:30-32) 그들을 데리고 나와 이르되, 선생들이여, 내가 무엇을 하여야 구원을 받으리이까(what must I do to be saved)? 하거늘 / 31 그들이 이르되, [주] 예수 그리스도를 믿으라(Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ). 그리하면 네가 구원을 받고(and thou shalt be saved) 네 집이 받으리라, 하며 / 32 [주]의 말씀을 그와 그의 집에 있던 모든 사람에게 말하니라(And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house).

 

(살후 2:13) 그러나 [주]께 사랑받는 형제들아(brethren beloved of the Lord), 우리가 너희로 인하여 항상 [하나님]께 감사드려야 하나니(we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you) 이는 [하나님]께서 처음부터 너희를 택하사 성령의 거룩히 구별하심과 진리를 믿는 것을 통해(through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth) 구원에 이르게 하셨기 때문이라(because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation).

 

(요 17:8) 나는 아버지께서 내게 주신 말씀들을 그들에게 주었사오며(I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me) 그들은 그것들을 받고(they have received them) 내가 아버지로부터 나온 줄을 확실히 아오며 또 아버지께서 나를 보내신 줄도 믿었나이다(they have believed that thou didst send me).

 

(살전 2:13) 이런 까닭에 우리가 또한 [하나님]께 끊임없이 감사를 드림은 너희가 우리에게서 들은 [하나님]의 말씀을 받을 때에(when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us) 그것을 사람들의 말로 받지 아니하고 [하나님]의 말씀으로 받았기 때문이니 진실로 그러하도다. 그 말씀이 또한 믿는 너희 안에서 효력 있게 일하느니라(which effectually worketh also in you that believe).

 

(롬 4:5) 일을 하지 아니할지라도 경건치 아니한 자를 의롭다 하시는 이를 믿는 자에게는(to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly) 그의 믿음을 의로 여기시느니라(his faith is counted for righteousness).

 

(요 3:16) ¶ [하나님]께서 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 자신의 독생자를 주셨으니 이것은 누구든지 그를 믿는 자는 멸망하지 않고 영존하는 생명을 얻게 하려 하심이라(whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life).

 

(요 20:31) 이것들을 기록함은 예수님께서 [하나님]의 [아들] 그리스도이심을 너희가 믿게 하려 함(that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God)이요, 또 믿고 그분의 이름을 통해 생명을 얻게 하려 함(that believing ye might have life through his name)이니라.
