Repent. (1)

 

(롬5:12) 그러므로 한 사람으로 말미암아 죄가 세상에 들어오고 죄로 말미암아 사망이 들어왔나니 이와 같이 모든 사람이 죄를 지었으므로 사망이 모든 사람에게 임하였느니라. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

 

(롬6:23) 죄의 삯은 사망이나 [하나님]의 선물은 예수 그리스도 우리 [주]를 통해 얻는 영원한 생명이니라. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 

(롬6:20) 너희가 죄의 종이었을 때에는 의로부터 자유로웠느니라. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

 

(롬 3:10) 이것은 기록된바, 의로운 자는 없나니 단 한 사람도 없으며 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one：

 

(전 7:20) 선을 행하고 죄를 짓지 않는 의인은 땅 위에 하나도 없느니라. For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

 

(롬3:23) 모든 사람이 죄를 지어 [하나님]의 영광에 이르지 못하더니 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

 

(렘 13:23) 에티오피아 사람이 자기 피부를, 표범이 자기 반점을 변하게 할 수 있겠느냐? 그리할 수 있을진대 악을 행하는 데 익숙한 너희도 선을 행할 수 있으리라. Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

 

(시 62:9) 참으로 지위가 낮은 자들은 헛되며 지위가 높은 자들은 거짓되니 저울에 달면 그들을 다 더해도 허무보다 가볍도다. Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie： to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

 

(시 39:5) 보소서, 주께서 내 날들을 한 뼘만큼 되게 하셨사오니 내 시대가 주 앞에는 없는 것 같사오며 참으로 모든 사람은 최선의 상태에서도 전적으로 헛될 뿐이니이다. 셀라. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee： verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.

 

(롬 3:13-14) 그들의 목구멍은 열린 돌무덤이라. 그들이 자기 혀로 속임수를 쓰나니 그들의 입술 밑에는 독사의 독이 있고 / 그들의 입은 저주와 쓴 것으로 가득하며 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips：/ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness：

 

(시 5:9) 그들의 입에는 신실함이 없사오니 그들의 속은 심히 사악하고 그들의 목구멍은 열린 돌무덤이요, 그들은 혀로 아첨하나이다. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

 

(시 120:2) 오 {주}여, 내 혼을 거짓말하는 입술과 속이는 혀로부터 건지소서. Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

 

(창 6:5) ¶ {하나님}께서 사람의 사악함이 땅에서 크고 또 그의 마음에서 생각하여 상상하는 모든 것이 항상 악할 뿐임을 보시고 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

 

(렘 17:9) ¶ 마음은 모든 것보다 거짓되고 극도로 사악하니 누가 그것을 알 수 있으리요? The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked： who can know it?

 

(요3:20) 이는 악을 행하는 자마다 자기 행위를 책망 받을까 염려하여 빛을 미워하고 또 빛으로 나아오지 아니하기 때문이라. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

 

(시 7:11) [하나님]은 의로운 자를 판단하시며 [하나님]은 사악한 자를 향하여 날마다 분노하시는도다. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

 

(시 7:12) 그가 돌이키지 아니하면 그분께서 자신의 칼을 가시리니 그분께서 이미 자신의 활을 당기시고 준비하셨도다. If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

 

 

(시 7:13) 또 그분께서 그를 위하여 죽이는 도구를 마련하셨나니 그분께서 핍박하는 자들을 향해 자신의 화살들을 정하시는도다. He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.

 

(롬 2:5) 다만 네가 네 강퍅함과 뉘우치지 아니하는 마음에 따라 진노의 날 곧 [하나님]의 의로운 심판이 나타나는 그 날에 닥칠 진노를 네게 쌓아 올리는도다. But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

 

(롬 9:22) 만일 [하나님]께서 자신의 진노를 보이고 자신의 권능을 알리기 위해 파멸시키기에 합당한 진노의 그릇들에게 심히 오래 참으심으로 인내하시고 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction：

 

(살전 2:16) 이방인들이 구원받도록 우리가 그들에게 말하는 것을 금하고 항상 자기 죄들을 가득 채웠나니 이로써 진노가 극도로 그들에게 임하였느니라. Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway： for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

 

(요8:23) 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 너희는 아래에서 났고 나는 위에서 났으며 너희는 이 세상에 속하고 나는 이 세상에 속하지 아니하니라. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

 

(호 6:5) 그러므로 내가 대언자들로 그들을 넘어뜨리고 내 입의 말들로 그들을 죽였노라. 너에 대한 심판은 앞으로 나아가는 빛 같으니라. Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth： and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.

 

(막1:15) 이르시되, 때가 찼고 [하나님]의 왕국이 가까이 왔으니 너희는 회개하고 복음을 믿으라, 하시더라. And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

 

(고전15:3-4) 내가 또한 받은 것을 무엇보다 먼저 너희에게 전하였노니 그것은 곧 성경 기록대로 그리스도께서 우리의 죄들로 인하여 죽으시고 / 묻히셨다가 성경 기록대로 셋째 날에 다시 살아나시고 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; / And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

 

repent / repentance

 

(창 6:6) {주}께서 땅 위에 사람을 만드신 것으로 인해 슬퍼하시며 또 그것으로 인해 마음에 근심하시고 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

 

(삿 21:6) 이스라엘 자손이 자기 형제 베냐민으로 인하여 뉘우치며 이르되, 이 날 이스라엘에서 한 지파가 끊어졌도다. And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day.

 

(고후 7:8) 비록 내가 편지로 너희를 근심하게 한 것을 후회하였으나 지금은 후회하지 아니하노니 바로 그 서신이 잠시 동안만 너희를 근심하게 한 줄을 내가 아노라. For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent： for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

 

(민 23:19) [하나님]은 사람이 아니시니 거짓말하지 아니하시고 사람의 아들이 아니시니 뜻을 돌이키지 아니하시는도다. 그분께서 말씀하셨은즉 그것을 행하지 아니하시리요? 그분께서 이르셨은즉 그것을 실행하지 아니하시리요? God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent： hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

 

(출 32:14) {주}께서 자신의 백성에게 내리려 하던 그 재앙에서 뜻을 돌이키시니라. And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

 

(행 17:30) [하나님]께서 이같이 무지하던 때를 눈감아 주셨으나 이제는 모든 곳에서 모든 사람에게 회개하라고 명령하시나니

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent：

 

회개(悔改)

(욥 42:6) 그러므로 내가 내 자신을 몹시 싫어하고 티끌과 재 속에서 회개하나이다, 하니라. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

 

(시 38:18) 내가 내 불법을 밝히 드러내고 내 죄로 인하여 슬퍼하리이다. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

 

(눅 18:13) 세리는 멀리 서서 감히 눈을 들어 하늘을 우러러보지도 못하고 다만 가슴을 치며 이르되, [하나님]이여, 죄인인 내게 긍휼을 베푸소서, 하니라. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
